JHGC releases podcast with Nobel peace prize recipient Oleksandra Matviichuk as part of the Standing up to the Assault on Democracy series

In the latest episode of the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre’s special podcast series Standing Up to the Assault on Democracy, our 4 international expert hosts – Tali Nates, Andrea Pető, Bjorn Krondoffer, and Steven Carr – have the incredible honour of speaking to Oleksandra Matviichuk, a human rights lawyer and activist. She is the head of the non-profit organisation the “Centre for Civil Liberties” founded in 2007, which was the first Ukrainian organisation to receive the Nobel peace prize in 2022. In this conversation, she speaks about her work, activism, than future of Ukraine and shares her positive message about the future for all of us.
