Dr. Nava T. Barazani is an artist, cultural researcher, writer on art and visual culture. She is gallery director and curator at David Yellin Academic College. Her most recent book, Once Upon a Time, is about the visual memories of Holocaust survivors who were children in Libya. Her article “Hide-and-Seek” was recently published in the Journal Studies in Contemporary Jewry (Oxford University Press, NY). Her artworks inspired by her mother’s memories of Giado are in the Yad Vashem Art Museum collection.
