The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre facilitates a wide range of programmes suitable for adult groups. We have already welcomed university students, professionals and individuals from corporate, non-profit and government organisations, as well as religious and community institutions.
Our programmes have all been specifically developed to teach about the consequences of prejudice, racism and discrimination, and to promote an understanding of the dangers of indifference, apathy and silence. We incorporate our permanent and temporary exhibitions, films and survivor testimonies into all programmes. In addition to exploring the history of the Holocaust and the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, our programmes also engage with more contemporary topics such as examining racism and xenophobia, conflict resolution, issues of diversity and the power of dialogue.
